At Naéco Hostels, we have implemented many “best practices” to contribute to this movement.
CSR at Naéco Hostels
To contribute to the objectives of sustainable development, it is no longer a question today of reducing its negative impacts on the environment, as is still the case in a social responsibility approach, but of seeing how our activity can contribute positively. to the sustainability of our planet.
In a CSR approach, we seek to have a positive impact on society, to respect the environment, while being economically viable! This is a balance that we will build internally with our teams but also with our various partners and stakeholders in the territory.
At Naéco Hostels, we are committed, with our association Naéco # Responsables and by creating our eco-socio-responsible charter which aims to promote sustainable tourism, reduce the ecological footprint of your stay and implement concrete actions to preserve our beautiful Breton territory.
From a societal point of view, Naéco is continuously improving by implementing several offers such as a special rate for walking or cycling travelers.
A green stay in southern Brittany
At Naéco Hostels, we have focused our actions on three main areas: water, energy and waste.
Each week, we measure and present to you in the reception of our establishments, our water and electricity consumption, in order to remain as transparent as possible with you. We do not wash the bath towels daily, only at your request. And we have installed a rainwater harvesting system for reasoned watering.
In order to reduce our waste, we have eliminated the individual prepackaged portions for breakfast, we carry out the same process with the soap that we cut ourselves, to provide you with a piece without the packaging. And of course, the waste is sorted, composted, and we recover the hazardous waste (batteries, batteries, bulbs) then we recycle it.
To save energy, we only use low-energy light bulbs, household appliances of categories A or B, as well as motion detectors in common areas, to use the light only when you need it.

Our teams do their best to promote sustainable tourism and to limit the ecological impact of your stay. This is how we invite you to take a full part in our actions to preserve the environment.
This is how our first Ethical Advent Calendar was born in December 2020 in which we share our advice and eco-responsible actions to apply and adopt during your stay and in your daily life. We also make sure to share with you our ecological awareness through our various blog articles.
We also regularly organize and participate in beach cleanings around our establishments in southern Brittany, mainly with the Project Rescue Ocean association, which shares our values. In addition, we favor environmentally friendly means of transport, which is why we have a special offer for walkers and cyclists who visit our establishments throughout the year.
Favor local artisans and producers
Great novelty for this year 2021: We have launched our e-shop of 100% natural goodies made in BZH! In partnership with local producers and artisans, we want to highlight Breton know-how. Namely that 100% of the profits from the sales of our products are donated to the association Naéco # Responsables and thus make it possible to organize our future conservation actions for the ecology and the environment.
Within our establishments, we also work with local producers for our snack menu. You can find fresh products, all year round, made close to where you are staying. On the menu: smoked fish, terrines, jars, local cider, artisan kombucha, and many more!
