The Gulf of Morbihan and the Bay of Quiberon

Mor Bihan means little sea in Breton, discover Morbihan by following our itinerary. In 7 days travel 100km:

● Arzon
● Valves
● Arradon
● Auray
● La Trinité-sur-Mer / Carnac
● Quiberon and its peninsula

Placed at the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan, the town of Arzon has the privilege of being well located to observe the spectacle of the tides. Located at the gates of Arzon, stop at the Tumulus de Tumiac, where you can see a magnificent panorama.

The next step is Vannes, 4th largest city in Brittany, leave your converted van for a day to visit this pretty city. Within Vannes you have very pretty little walks to do in the alleys in the heart of the ramparts. Do not forget to take a tour to discover the port of Vannes, the Château Gaillard or the Place des Lices!

The next step is Arradon! You take the road aboard your fitted van to the charming seaside resort of Arradon and its beaches of Kerlibouet and Pen Boc'h. In Arradon you can once again leave your van fitted out and take a boat trip to reach Île-aux-Moines! Then you can continue to the pretty little ports of Larmor-Baden and Bono.

For the 4th stage of the Naéco van trip, head for the town of Auray, a small medieval town. You can stroll through its lively city center, visit the mythical port of Saint-Goustan, you can also take a tour of the many art galleries or simply go shopping.

Continue with the 5th stage, towards La Trinité-sur-Mer and Carnac, one of the essential stopovers in the Bay of Quiberon. On the sea side, stroll along the customs trails and discover the heritage of La Trinité. Then in Carnac, take a look at the menhirs, these amazing standing stones full of mystery.

Last stage of the Road trip, the Quiberon peninsula and its wild coast! Once past the Isme de Penthièvre, park in the Fozo car park. You can walk on the coastal paths towards the Pointe du Percho and make a short stop on the large beach of Port Blanc. Quiberon has several other little corners of paradise such as Port Haliguen or the tip of Conguel.

Don't hesitate to spend a night at Naéco Erdeven to enjoy a good shower!

South Finistère and its surroundings

One of the best ways to discover South Finistère is to go on a van trip! You travel from place to place, step by step according to your time and your desires. We have made a small selection of emblematic places around our hostels in Audierne and Le Pouldu.

From Audierne to Crozon

During your stay at Naéco Audierne, you can explore the surroundings with our fitted van. We have prepared a selection of 4 places for you to discover:

● Audierne
● Pointe du Raz
● Douarnenez
● Crozon Peninsula, Cap de la Chevre

Departing from our hostel in Audierne, which is ideally located, you can start your crossing by discovering the port of Audierne, walking on the Capuchin footbridge to the Trescadec lighthouse which will take you to the large beach of Audierne.

Then head to Pointe du Raz, a well-known spot in Brittany, it's the perfect place to come and admire the sunset over the water. Just opposite, you can see the island of Sein. You can get there in 1 hour by boat from Audierne.

For the 3rd stage, direction Douarnenez and the best way to visit the city is to follow the famous sardine path, in total 17 small bronze sardines nailed to the ground, with this route you can be sure not to miss anything.

The last stage is the Crozon Peninsula, without neglecting the Cap de la Chevre. Follow the paths of the GR34 to admire the view from the top of the cliffs, continue to the southernmost point of Crozon called the Cap de la Chevre. And don't miss Île Vierge, a real paradise lost!

From Pouldu to Quimper

If you want to discover other places in South Finistère, here is another route from Le Pouldu to Quimper :

● Le Pouldu, Clohars-Carnoët
● Pont-Aven
● Concarneau
● Quimper

Start your road trip in the small seaside resort of Le Pouldu, very close to our Naéco Le Pouldu hostel! You have access to Kérou beach, ideal for surfing. More in the center of Pouldu you also have the Grands Sables beach where you can practice one of the outdoor activities or simply relax in the sun. Only a few kilometers from Le Pouldu, we advise you to take a short trip to the port of Doëlan, it is a typical place of Breton landscapes.

Let's continue to the west of Brittany, with the small village of Pont-Aven, nicknamed "the village of painters". For the rest, there are only about fifteen kilometers between Pont-Aven and Concarneau.

Your journey continues through Concarneau, where part of the town is located in the Ville Close, listed as a historical monument since 1899. Once you have crossed, you will be able to see several small shops as well as bars and restaurants.

Finally, end your trip in Quimper, where you can stroll through the historic city center, observe the half-timbered houses and enjoy a break to taste one of their delicious crepes.
