What is the SwimRun?

An endurance sport in the middle of nature

Swim Run is a discipline from Sweden that combines running and swimming in a natural environment, without transition. This nature race in Brittany allows participants to alternate between trail running and swimming, wearing their equipment from start to finish. The event, which takes place in Brittany, offers a wild course where athletes cross varied terrain, ranging from coastal paths to bodies of water, all in a preserved natural setting.

This format without transition between the two disciplines makes the competition particularly demanding, as the athletes have to complete the events without a break. In addition to running, swimming is done in the middle of nature, often in the sea or in lakes. Participants wear suitable footwear and swimming suits to cope with the different environments along the route.

The SwimRun is a challenge that tests athletes' endurance, strategy and adaptability to changing terrain and water conditions. It is a unique sporting adventure, ideal for those looking to push their limits in an exceptional setting.

A challenge as a duo or solo

Traditionally, the Clohars-Carnoët SwimRun is practiced in pairs, promoting strategy and cohesion between teammates. However, some formats allow for individual participation, providing a unique experience for athletes of all levels.

An exceptional natural setting

The Clohars-Carnoët SwimRun allows participants to cross sublime landscapes, between ocean, rivers and coastal paths. It is a real adventure that combines sport and the discovery of the Breton natural heritage.
