Situated just below Brest, the Crozon peninsula is a small part of Brittany. Composed of cliffs, sharp rocks and large valleys, it is in the heart of the Armorique regional nature park. Its airs of end of the world leave no one indifferent.
Here is a short list of places not to be missed during your visit to this corner of paradise!
Nicknamed the artists' village, this commune located at the tip of the Crozon Peninsula in Finistère, offers a pretty landscape of colourful houses where artists who have fallen in love with the region have come to settle since 1992. It is also one of the most beautiful harbours in Brittany with a particular charm, thanks to its old marine cemetery.
From the top of its large cliffs, you will be able to observe a breathtaking view of the Iroise Sea.
At the point, admire the three large rocks known as "Tas de Pois". This group of rocks, which emerge in the middle of the sea, is one of the wildest and most unusual places on the Breton coast. Go there at sunset for a magical view of the ocean. The Pointe de Pen-Hir will not disappoint you. Beware, the wind will be with you, so make sure you are well covered!
Classified as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by The Guardian, the Virgin Island beach offers turquoise water, white sand and cliffs covered with vegetation. A magnificent place to see absolutely in South Finistère during your visit to the Crozon peninsula.
Be careful, direct access to the beach is forbidden to preserve the environment. You will see many people doing this, but please respect the rules despite the temptation to keep this place as beautiful as it is.
The southernmost point of the Crozon Peninsula, it closes the bay of Douarnenez. It is also a refuge for boats when the sea is rough.
Cap de la Chèvre has retained its wild aspect; covered with heather, maritime pines and bushes. It is also an ideal place for activities such as hiking, VTT and horse riding.
A former fishing village specialising in tuna and sardines, Morgat began to develop into a seaside resort in the 1970s. Its large beach, its crêperies, its large market and its colourful houses make this small village a very nice place to visit!
In addition, Morgat has a very large nautical centre which offers a wide range of activities such as kayaking, paddling, diving and windsurfing.
