History buffs can also visit the Musée des Thoniers in Étel, which traces the history of sardine fishing in the region.

Don't miss the Barre d'Etel, the mouth of the Ria. It's a moving underwater sandbank, which is the continuation of the large dune massif of Gâvres-Quiberon (Warning: respect the signs and prohibitions).
